Lucem Hafnia by Norse Projects and New Balance is celebrating the classic 770 model first introduced in 1986, adopted by runners worldwide for its advanced features, such as the Fethalite midsole, which offered unparalleled stability and softness.

The colour scheme for Lucem Hafnia is inspired by the architecture of the University of Copenhagen's main building and the interior of the University Library. Established over 530 years ago, the University of Copenhagen is one of the oldest institutions for knowledge and research in Northern Europe.

Lucem is a reference to the architrave of the institution's main building, where a gilded statue of an eagle resides. Beneath this eagle is the Latin inscription 'COELESTEM ADSPICIT LUCEM', which translates to 'The Eye of the Celestial Light'. Hafnia is a reference to the Latin designation for Copenhagen. Stories from a bygone era are being told through the architecture.

The shoe has been updated with embossed New Balance branding on the side and features include smooth nubuck, full grain leather, EVA midsole, woven tongue label and finished with Norse Projects branding on the in-soles. The shoe comes in two colourways: Brown Navy and Rainy Olive.
